Folate addition to flour
Since September 2009, folate has to be added to flour by Flour Millers. Bakers should be aware that they have to declare folate as an ingredient in bread and bread products.
Also legislation requires that bakers use Iodised salt for bread production and include iodised salt as an ingredient on packaging.

Folate in Bread - September 13, 2009
Iodised Salt in Bread - October 9, 2009
Packaging requirements for bakers
If bakers wholesale or pack their product they are required to add the Iodised Salt and Folate to packaging. Instead of Salt it should read Iodised Salt. The Vitamin (Thiamin) declaration should change to Vitamin (Thiamin, Folate).
